A resolution levying general property taxes for the year 2000, to aid in the operation of and help defray the costs of government for the Town of Deer Trail Colorado for the 2000 budget year.
Whereas, the Deer Trail Town Board of Trustees has adopted the 2000 annual budget in accordance with the Local Government Budget Law (C.R.S. 29-1-101) on December 7, 1999; and,
Whereas, the funds needed to balance the Town of Deer Trail's 2000 Budget for general operating purposes amounts to $29,958; and,
Whereas, the taxable assessed valuation for the Town of Deer Trail for the year 1999 as certified by the Arapahoe County Assessor is $1,839,380.00.
Now therefore be it resolved by the Deer Trail Colorado Town Board of Trustees:
Section 1.
That for the purpose of meeting general operating expenses of the Town of Deer Trail during the 2000 Budget Year, there is hereby levied a tax of 16.287 mills upon each dollar of the total valuation for assessment of all taxable property within the Town of Deer Trail for the year 1999.
Section 2.
That the Town Clerk/Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to notify the Arapahoe County, Colorado, Board of County Commissioners of the 2000 mill levy for the Town of Deer Trail as hereinabove certified by the Deer Trail Town Board of Trustees.
