A resolution declaring the need for a housing authority to function in the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado.
Be it resolved by the Town Board of the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado
That a petition having been filed with the Town Clerk of said Town to twenty-five (25) residents thereof, setting forth that there is a need for a Housing Authority to function therein, and a public hearing having been held, upon due notice given by said Town Clerk, all pursuant to "The Housing Authorities Law" of the State of Colorado, as amended, the Town Council of said Town find, determines and declares, that:
- Unsanitary and unsafe inhabited dwelling accommodations exist in the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado; and
- There is a lack of safe and sanitary dwelling accommodations in the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado, available for all the inhabitants thereof; and
- There is need for a Housing Authority to function in the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado; and
- A petition setting forth the need for a Housing Authority to function in the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado, has not been denied by the Town Council thereof within three months of the date of filing of the aforesaid petition; and
- The Mayor of the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado, be promptly notified of the adoption of this resolution; and
- The mayor be and he hereby is directed to file in the office of the Town Clerk of the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado, the necessary certificate evidencing the appointment of the Commissioners and designation of the first Chairman of the Housing Authority, pursuant to Section 29-4-205(3) of "The Housing Authorities Law" of the State of Colorado.
- The aforesaid conditions in the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado compel persons of low income to occupy unsanitary or unsafe dwelling accommodations and the providing of safe and sanitary dwelling accommodations at rents which persons of low income are public uses and purposes.
