A resolution authorizing the Town Clerk to appoint election judges for the Town of Deer Trial special election to be held on August 22, 2023
Whereas, the Town of Dear Trail's Special Election will be held on August 22, 2023.
Whereas, C.R.S. 3I-10-401, requires the governing body of the municipality, or the Town Clerk if so, designated by the governing body, to appoint Judges of Election at least 15 days prior to Election Day; and
Whereas, C.R.S. 31-10-408, establishes that Election Judges will be paid not less than five dollars and the amount paid is to be determined by the governing body of the municipality.
Now therefore be it resolve by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado, as follows:
Section l.
The Town Board of the Town of Deer Trail hereby designates and appoints the Deer Trail Town Clerk, Ali Eldringhoff, as the Designated Election Official.
Section 2.
The Town Board delegates to the Town Clerk as the Designated Election Official the authority and responsibility to appoint Judges of Election as necessary and required.
Section 3.
The appointed Judges will receive $100 for their services.
Section 4.
This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after this passage and approval.
