A resolution establishing a moratorium on substantive development activities within the town limits pending completion of a study for developer and building code regulations for the town.
Whereas, the Town Council is considering adopting a suitable developers code and building regulations which will be of benefit to all of the citizens of the Town, and in connection therewith, plans to commission a study thereof to be completed within six months from the date hereof,
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Town Council of the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado:
- A moratorium is hereby placed on the annexation of any property and on the issuance of any building permits, platting, development plans or other substantive development activity within the town limits pending the says from the date hereof. Said moratorium shall remain in effect until the regular council meeting of December 4, 1984, and may be terminated at an earlier sate on approval of council or extended beyond this date upon the approval of council at its discretion.
- All Town personnel are directed to comply with the intent of this resolution, provided that application may be accepted within the period of this moratorium with the understanding that no action will be taken by the Town until this moratorium is rescinded or until adoption of the proposed developer and building regulations ordinance.
- This resolution directly affects the health, safety and welfare of the Town and shall be effective immediately.
