A resolution to cancel the regular election to fill a vacancy on the Board of Trustees on April 5, 2016.
Whereas, the Board of Trustees holding a regular election to be held on April 5, 2016, for the electors of the Town of Deer Trail to vote to fill three (3) vacant seats on the Board of Trustees, pursuant to C.R.S. § 31-4-303.
Whereas, the Board of Trustees desires to cancel the regular election set for April 5, 2016, in order to conform to the requirements for regular elections in the Municipal Election Code; and
Whereas, the electors of the Town of Deer Trail will vote to fill the vacant seat on the Board of Trustees at the April 5, 2016, election.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado:
Section 1.
The Board of Trustees hereby cancels the regular election set for Tuesday, the 5th day of April 2016 to fill a vacancy on the Board of Trustees.
Section 2
The officers and employees of the Town are hereby authorized and directed to take all actions necessary and appropriate to effectuate the provisions of this Resolution in accordance with Colorado law.
