A resolution authorizing the Town Clerk to appoint election judges for the Town of Deer Trail municipal election to be held on April 5, 2016.
Whereas, the Town of Deer Trail's Municipal Election is held the first Tuesday of April every two years; and
Whereas, C.R.S. 31-10-401, requires the governing body of the municipality, or the Town clerk if so designated by the governing body, to appoint Judges of Election at least 15 days prior to Election Day; and
Whereas, C.R.S. 31-10-408, establishes that Election Judges will be paid not less than five dollars and the amount paid is to be determined by the governing body of the municipality.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Town Board of The Town of Deer Trail Colorado that:
Section 1
The Town Board of the Town of Deer Trail hereby designates and appoints the Deer Trail Town Clerk, Wendy Heywood as the Designated Election Official.
Section 2
The Town Board delegates to the Town Clerk the authority and responsibility to appoint Judges of Elections as necessary and required.
Section 3
The appointed Judges will receive $100 for their services.
Section 4
This resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
