A resolution of the Board of Trustees for the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado adopting the 2015 Arapahoe County Hazard mitigation plan.
Whereas, the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado, recognized the threat that natural hazards pose to people and property within our community; and
Whereas, undertaking hazard mitigation actions will reduce the potential for harm to people and property from future hazard occurrences; and
Whereas, an adopted hazard mitigation plan is required as a condition of future funding for mitigation projects under multiple FEMA pre and post disaster mitigation grant programs; and
Whereas, the Colorado Division of Emergency Management and Federal Emergency Management Agency, Region VIII, officials have reviewed the 2015 Arapahoe County Hazard Mitigation Plan and have approved said plan as meeting the requirements of the Stafford Act and Title 44 Code of Federal Regulations 201.6 for local hazard mitigation plan; and
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado:
Section 1
The Board of Trustees hereby adopts the 2015 Arapahoe County Hazard Mitigation Plan, as presented during the October 6, 2015, regular meeting of the board of Trustees for the Town of Deer Trail, as the multi-hazard mitigation plan for Arapahoe County, Colorado; and
Section 2
This resolution to be in full force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
