A resolution of the Town of Deer Trail calling for a special Municipal Election.
Whereas, a petition for the recall of Trustee Boyd has been submitted pursuant to C.R.S. 31-4-502; and
Whereas, a petition for the recall of Trustee Hardwick has been submitted pursuant to C.R.S. 31-4-502; and
Whereas, a petition for the recall of Trustee Venter has been submitted pursuant to C.R.S. 31-4-502; and
Whereas, the petitions, together with certificates of sufficiency signed by the Town Clerk have been submitted to the Board of Trustees pursuant to C.R.S. 31-4-503(4).
Now, therefore be it resolved by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado:
Section 1.
A Special Municipal Election to consider the question of the recalls of Trustees Boyd, Hardwick, and Venter and the election of possible successors to the offices of Trustee shall be held on March 31, 2009.
Section 2.
The Town Clerk and other Town officials and advisors are hereby authorized and directed to take all action necessary or appropriate to affect the provisions of this Resolution. All actions not inconsistent with the provisions of this Resolution heretofore taken by the Town Clerk directed toward holding the election for purposes stated herein are hereby ratified and confirmed.
Section 3.
This Resolution shall be effective on January 6, 2009.
