A resolution approving an intergovernmental agreement for the conduct of a special election.
Whereas, the Town and Arapahoe County desire to enter into an intergovernmental agreement regarding the conduct of a coordinated election, including the mailing of TABOR ballot issue notices, to be held on November 2, 2004.
Now, therefore, be it resolved by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado:
Section 1.
The proposed intergovernmental agreement between the Town and Arapahoe County regarding the conduct of a coordinated election and mailing of TABOR ballot issue notices for the election to be held on November 2, 2004, is hereby approved in essentially the same form as the copy of such agreement accompanying this resolution.
Section 2.
The mayor is hereby granted the authority to approve such revisions to said agreement as the mayor deems are necessary or desirable for the protection of the Town, so long as the essential terms and conditions of the agreement are not altered.
