Ordinance Number 130

An Ordinance for the Regulation and Enforcement of a Curfew and the Penalty, therefore. Be it ordained by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado:

Section 1

It shall be unlawful for any child under the age of eighteen (18) years to be or remain upon any street, alley or to remain or be in any establishment open to the public generally after the hour of 10:30 P.M. or prior to the hour of 5:00 A.M., except for lawful employment or unless there exists a reasonable excuse therefore; or, unless such child is accompanied by the parent, guardian, or other person of the age of twenty—one (21) years or over having permission of the parent or guardian to have the custody and care of such child; or by any person between the ages of eighteen (18) years and twenty—one (21) years having in his or her possession written permission for the parent or guardian to have the care or custody of such child; provided, that on Friday and Saturday nights, the curfew hour for children under eighteen (18) years shall be extended to the hour of 11:30 P.M.

Section 2

Any person found guilty of a violation of this Section shell, upon conviction thereof, be fined A sum not to exceed three hundred dollars (300.00).

Section 3

It is the duty of the Town Marshall, or such other officers as are assigned by the Town Marshall, and he is hereby empowered to enforce the provisions of this Ordinance.

Section 4

This ordinance shall take effect after publication.

Passed and adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Deer Trail, Colorado, this 12th day of June, 1973.
