The Town of Deer Trail will conduct a polling place special election on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
The 2023 special election ballot will include two questions in an effort to determine the town’s new nuisance ordinance, which is currently Ordinance No. 261.
Question 1 asks whether a citizeninitiated ordinance will replace the Town of Deer Trail’s current nuisance regulation, Ordinance No. 261, including a narrower definition of a nuisance, limiting the Town’s enforcement ability, and a new hearing process in front of a new Nuisance Board of Adjustment.
Question 2 asks whether Town Ordinance No. 297 regulating nuisances and nuisance enforcement and replacing Ordinance No. 261 will become effective.
Persons desiring to vote in the upcoming election and who have not registered to vote must do so on or before Election Day. Persons may register to vote at the Arapahoe County offices at 5334 South Prince Street in Littleton or Arapahoe County Motor Vehicle Office, 538 N. Highway 36, Byers, CO 80103.
