Call to Order
The Board of Trustees of the Town of Deer Trail met in a special session on Tuesday May 30th, 2023, at the Town Hall, 555 Second Ave Deer Trail, Colorado. Mayor Pro Tern Mounce called the meeting to order at 6 p.m.

Trustees Present: Heather Kerin, John Kettling, Gerry LaMont, Robert Rhodes
Staff Present: Ali Eldringhoff Town Clerk
3. Approval of the Agenda
Trustee Kerin moved; Trustee Rhodes seconded the motion to approve the agenda. Voting went as follows.
Yes: Kerin, Kettling, LaMont, Mounce, Rhodes
No: None
Abstain: None
Absent: Ramirez, Behrens
The mayor declared the motion carried.
4A. 2018 Building Code Public Hearing
Trustee Kerin moved; Trustee LaMont seconded the motion to approve the 2018 building code. Voting went as follows.
Yes: Kerin, Kettling, LaMont, Mounce, Rhodes
No: None
Abstain: None
Absent: Ramirez, Behrens
The mayor declared the motion carried.
Public Comment
Phil Steel addressed that he would like for the board to put their foot down and not approve the building code. He stated that we as a town are sovereign and therefore don't have to follow the government's regulations.
Mayor Pro Tem Mounce Adjourned the meeting at 6:24 p.m.
