Call to Order

The Board of Trustees of the Town of Deer Trail met in a regular session on Tuesday March 8th, 2022, at the Town Hall, 555 Second Ave Deer Trail, Colorado. Mayor Behrens called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Trustee Ramirez moved; Trustee Hendricks seconded the motion to approve the agenda, with the following changes: adding item I. Meeting stipend. Voting went as follows.

4A. Approval of the February 8th regular meeting minutes

Trustee Kerin moved; Hendricks seconded the motion to approve the regular meeting minutes for February 8th, 2022. Voting went as follows.

8A. Safety enclosure update

Trustee Hendricks moved; Ramirez seconded the motion to table the approval of the safety encloses until a second bid is received. Voting went as follows.

9A. Metro district

Trustee Kettling moved; Trustee Kerin seconded the motion to approve the signing back of Tract C. Voting went as follows.

9B. Meet the candidates night

Trustee Kerin moved; Trustee Ramirez seconded the motion to host meet the candidate’s night on March 22nd at 7p.m.  Voting went as follows.

9C. 2nd communication box for Bijou

Trustee Ramirez moved; Trustee Hendricks seconded the motion to approve of a second HOA communication box if it was okay with the HOA. The budget was set at $200. Voting went as follows.

9D. Ordinance 285

Trustee Hendricks moved; Trustee Ramirez seconded the motion to table as to approve ordinance 285 which annexes in a part of Paul Hawkers land that is currently surrounded by incorporated city limits. Voting went as follows.

Trustee Hendricks moved; Trustee Kerin seconded the motion to approve ordinance 286 which states that the Mayor and Clerk can sign the final audit for the water tower project. Voting went as follows.

9H. Town clean up date

Trustee Ramirez moved; Trustee LaMont seconded the motion to approve town cleanup day for April 23rd with an alternate date of May 6th. We will be using Maverick’s disposal and we need six roll offs. Voting went as follows.
